The radio news I heard this morning included a bit on Tom Fox, a Quaker pacifist who was kidnapped and killed in Iraq. The radio piece I heard (not the one linked above) ended with the memorial "he fought for peace." I found it poor irony that the news organization would describe him as both a pacifist and fighter.

It would have been better to say, "He stood his ground for peace?" "He died for peace" "A victim of war, he wanted peace" Anything would be better than for a pacifist to "fight" for peace. :)
Sad story.
