In this time of economic difficulty, many people are facing job uncertainties. I know I haven't been thankful enough for the jobs and stability that JM and I have! But we have been reminded in recent days as in our families, jobs have become a topic of conversation and prayer.
Andrew (SR's fiance) is working for a company that laid off 700-800 jobs earlier this week in the office where he is working. While his job was not affected (as far as I heard), it makes the future look a lot less certain.
SC currently has a job, but was scheduled for an interview yesterday for a job that pays better and has benefits. I haven't yet heard how that went for him.
David (JM's brother) is currently unemployed. He was scheduled for an interview for a cashier position at Target today. I haven't heard how that went for him. He is also scheduled to interview on Monday at the same place JM works, so that would be a job in his field. He also has a third application out that would really be his first choice, but he hasn't heard from them yet.

clarification: they laid off 700-800 from the home offices... multiple buildings... only about 120ish from his building of 3,000. Today was the day of decision and he still has a job.
