7 Quick Friday

5 Weeks

1. Smiles. TGM is practicing smiling more, but they are still rare. We didn't catch any when we went to the portrait studio on Saturday for family pictures.

2. Verbals. TGM is beginning to coo! I may be tired of her talking some day, but it's wonderful to hear those happy sounds now.

3. Check-up for TGM. TGM had her one month check-up this past week (at 5 weeks). She is up to 10 lbs even and has grown to 22" long. I've been noticing some soreness in my hands and arms over the last few days and I've been wondering if it's related to lifting a bigger baby. :) She was declared to be healthy and doing well. Next appointment in another month.

4. Clogging. I've been participating in clogging practices the last couple of weeks. I don't feel like I'm back up to what I was, but it does feel good to be getting out on the floor again. We've been taking TGM to practice with us. There was a pack 'n' play donated that has been set up in the spectator area of the barn so she can watch and be out of the way. She seems to be less fussy when we are dancing. :-)

5. Check-up for me. I had my follow-up appointment this past week. I'm at 124 lbs--down from 147 just before I delivered. I've been wearing my pre-pregnancy pants, but they still aren't nearly as comfortable yet as they used to be. I was declared to be recovering well and don't need to be back until my regular annual physical.

6. Photos. The above photo is part of a selection of photo's from Tabitha's first month. I'm still not very good at remembering to use the camera. And when I do, it still takes a while to get them moved to the computer and then shared. I'll try to keep working on that.

7. Friends. The Hawes family visited us this week. It was a great pleasure to be able to see them and catch-up with them! We last saw them at our wedding. They've been in the Ukraine as missionaries since then and are currently back in the states itinerating. Our prayers continue to go with them.

Thank you so much for praying for all of us. God is so good!
