A book and an article

The Lost Girls: Three Friends. Four Continents. One Unconventional Detour Around the World. I just finished this book this morning. I found it an interesting read with each chapter as the three friends took turns writing about the trip--each from her own perspective. As single career women in their late 20's in New York City, they start out with feeling lost in where they are supposed to go next in life, so decide to travel the world in hopes of an epiphany. While they don't have huge epiphanies about what they are supposed to do with the rest of their lives, they do forge a life-long bond and take away lessons about maintaining balance between work, friends, and other passions in life.

Celebrate Valentine's Day on a 'Blind Date with a Book'. In New Zealand, there is a library that on Valentine's Day will check-out to each patron a book from a grab-bag of books selected by the library staff and gift-wrapped. Sounds like fun to me!
