Web Searching 2.0

I noticed some new features in searching Google today. Google is calling it SearchWiki. It looks like this:



In a presentation I did at ACL in June, one of the search engines I highlighted was WikiaSearch--primarily because it did have the interactive aspect to its search results. In WikiaSearch, one could add websites to the results, remove links from the returned results, annotate individual results, assign a rating of up to 5 starts for each result, etc.

Now most or all of these have made it to the primetime by being incorporated into Google.
