I should be getting some work done. I should be getting some packing done. I should be at youth group. But instead, I've ended up adding a bunch of labels to my blog posts.
BRTC had its Christmas party last night. The party was officially scheduled for 6-10pm.
At 5:45, I was headed to Michaels looking for candles for the wedding.
By 6:30, I made it through the traffic to Michaels and found that they did not have the candles in stock that I wanted.
At 6:45, I was grabbing a shower at the townhouse, since the shower at my parlour hasn't been working for the last 4 weeks.
By 7:15, I was out of the shower and looking through my books for the Christmas party gift exchange and gift to servicemen. By this time, JM was home and was doing the same thing.
By 7:35, we'd wrapped our selected books and were on our way to the party with JM making a stop on the way to pick up food.
We were very definitely late, but we still made it for some of the games, dancing, gift exchange, food, and FUN!!
Over the weekend (Saturday evening) BRTC performed as part of the Pageant of Peace at the National Christmas Tree in front of the capital building in DC. It was a real challenge for parking--kudos to JM & Joyce for finding spaces! The performance itself was great. I had more difficulty with steps than I'd have liked for a performance. But we had a large crowd who were cheering loudly and very supportive! That made it a lot of fun and very rewarding!
