Harry Potter

Huh? When I posted yesterday, I had no problem putting a "Title" with my blog post, but I can't do it today. Clicking in the "Title" box does.....nothing. Anyway....

Harry Potter.
The release of the final book in the series is two weeks from tomorrow. For the last couple of weeks, the number of requests for the book at the LCPL has been steadily rising. Current numbers are:

Format# of Requests# Ordered by the library
Book27655
Cassette443
CD10140

A common reaction to these numbers (especially by the Potter faithful) is "I couldn't wait that long!" or "Why don't they just buy a copy!" In someways, I tend to agree, except that I'll be putting my name on the wait list in a couple of weeks--partially to see how long it takes, partially because I'm cheap, partially because I prefer to listen to them on tape or CD and spend my actual reading time on other materials.

Who knows, I may actually end up reading it before I get it from the library. After all, I believe JM did pick up a copy at a midnight release last time. If it's around the house, I may end up reading it pretty soon after he does anyway.

Google has changed something that makes it really picky about the positioning of the cursor when clicking on the Title field. I have to position my mouse so the bottom of the cursor is barely touching the top of the Title box. Then the cursor shifts to a bar (from an arrow) and you can click and type stuff into the Title field.
