A Book: Jonathan's Journey by Katherine Bell

An easy read, but one of my favorite books of all time. I read it to my brother when he was five and I read it to Jer (and JM) about a year ago.



A Mode of Transporation: Nine Missionaries, Three Bicycles [Powerpoint presentation]

It always amazes me that they ride for miles like this--nine men on three bicycles and carrying materials!



A Book / A Tool / A Food: Maura's Library of Congress Cake

Bonus points for multiple items for one link? I was looking for something else, but when I found this, I couldn't resist!



A Light / A Picture / Something Old: Crown Point Lighthouse

The Library of Congress has digitized over 3,000 old photos and negatives (in this case, a glass negative from the 1910's) and shared them on flickr in January. It's part of a pilot project to invite the public to comment and help identify pictures. It's already been successful.
