I randomly ended up doing a bit of searching on upcoming Olympic Games today and took the time to check out the Broadcast Training Program for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. For the Vancouver Games, the training program is working with Canadian schools, but it was the Atlanta version of the Broadcast Training Program that I participated in and enabled me to work as part of the Atlanta Olympic Broadcasting.
The fun part, was as soon as I clicked the link on the position descriptions, I started recalling my job in Atlanta--the very first job listed on the site is Archivist/Librarian and they have a picture from Atlanta! From my desk where I worked, I looked to my right and looked straight down this very aisle (or maybe the one next to it)! Browsing on down the list was the job for Logger with another picture from the Atlanta Olympics! In Atlanta, the loggers worked in the room next to the archives and we hung out with them during the slow periods. It was here in the logging room that there was a desk (barely visible in the background of this picture) with half-dozen or more screens where we all gathered around to watch the opening and closing ceremonies.
