On the drive to work along Rt. 7. A line of 10 vehicles of wide variety--compact cars, full-size cars, vans, SUV's, 1/2 ton pick-ups, 3/4 ton pickups with extended cabs, suburbans. No distinctive markings on any of the vehicles. Some had personalized plates, some didn't. All the plates I particularly noticed were VA plates. The only thing they had in common--all had a yellow flashing light on top. (One of those that uses a magnet or something to stick to the roof and has a stretchy cord in through the car door for power.) And following at the end of the line? A motorcycle with his hazard lights on. Now isn't that enough to arouse curiosity?
While out running errands. A stretch SUV limo. The length of a bus. Styled like an SUV or maybe a hummer. Painted white. I've seen such previously, but driving through Purcellville, it's still something to catch the attention.
Outside my office window this morning--a hole dug about 3-4 ft deep and 3 ft square at the top. The hole was filled with concrete and a yellow concrete post sticking about 3.5 feet up marking/protecting the corner of the emergency generator's brick box.
