I should be taking a shower and heading to bed or doing something else productive. Instead, I'm at the computer updating the blog with information about MY life for the first time in more than three weeks...maybe I can still count this as productive? Or at least useful.

I won't try to catch you up on everything that has happened, just hit a few highlights.

At work: The new director started on July 1. I kept thinking I'd do a post on how that change has been for me. Overall, I think it has gone quite well. We've been able to discuss a lot of what has been done and is planned for the library. I'm working on trying to document various things that don't document very easily. (What do you do when the computer says there aren't "enough" lenders for an interlibrary loan request? What is the usefulness or purpose of each of the dozens of queries, forms, and reports in two different databases?) I still haven't given a specific date for when I'll go on maternity leave, so I may end up working until I deliver. I still haven't decided exactly how long I'll be on maternity leave or even whether I'll come back.

At home: We are finally making progress on getting a nursery ready. Or I should say, Jesse is making progress. Last weekend he moved boxes around, put together the crib and changing table, and began painting the room. I've got a wonderful husband!! At the same time, I was doing some laundry and trying to make progress on cleaning in out room. His project made much more marked and lasting difference! EmilyRose who had been boarding with us since January moved out in early July. Interestingly, she moved into the little parlour I lived in for 5.5 years before getting married. David, JM's brother, moved most of his stuff into our house, but has spent most of his time in Pennsylvania, as his job is currently on hold while the company works on finding investors.

At clogging: The clogging group had a baby shower for us a couple of weekends ago. They encouraged people to give us children's books. Much appreciated! My last clogging performance until after the delivery was July 3rd at Hillsboro. Even that one I performed in less than half the number of dances I usually perform. Today, the Team went down to Orange County for the clogging competition. I went down with them, though I didn't clog at all. I was very fine with not clogging in the heat while this far along, but I did miss the excitement of competition. Jer was with us for the day. He and Braden (brother to one of the cloggers) spent the day playing a game that Braden brought, jumping on the moon bounce, and a few other activities, like a SWAT and canine demonstration by the local sheriff's office and a magic show.

At church: We just wrapped up a week of VBS. We were pleased to have over 20 kids most nights this week. I think I heard that there were close to 30 (maybe more) a couple of the nights. Rachel (due the week before I am) has not yet delivered either, but has gone through a couple of rounds of false labor, including more than 12 hours of contractions that were consistently 10 minutes apart. Everyone is eagerly waiting to hear from us.
