Snyder Book Collecting Contest

Caught a reference to the Snyder Book Collecting Contest in my hometown paper. Intriguing idea.

The contest, open to the university students, is intended to encourage book collecting.

Collections need not be large or expensive in order to win. Entries are normally limited to a selection of no fewer than twenty-five nor more than fifty books (or other printed items), regardless of the size of the contestants total collection. However, the judges will be interested primarily in a contestant's stated purpose and goals and how well the collection fulfills these intentions.

Judging is based on a partially annotated list of the books in the collection and a 2-6 page essay stating the purpose and goals of the collection.
