Tornadoes are destructive

From my family in Harper County, KS on the damage caused by tornadoes that passed through the area last week:

"The S--'s that totally lost their house in the tornado (F4) last week - the 300 gal propane tank was found over a mile away. There were five vehicles in the yard, one of them a two ton truck; they were completely torn up and parts were found scattered throughout neighboring fields. We saw the tub of the washing machine in a ball, laying in the ditch. The tornado tried to suck Mr and Mrs. S-- up out of the basement but they held onto the water pipes and lived through the ordeal. After the tornado passed they started walking the 1 1/4 miles to the neighbors, Doc C--'s. That is when a second tornado came and they laid low in the road ditch. The second tornado took the west portion of Doc C--'s house, his Vet Clinic, and the shirt off Mr. S--'s back. The ground around where the house once stood was scoured clean, and the bark has been stripped from the trees by the tornado. Daddy wonders what more damage an F5 tornado could do. Actually the place looks like an old farm stead (with broken trees and no house) where the cattle or horses have been allowed to graze every single blade of grass to the ground.

When there are no serious injuries in an event like this, can it be anything other than God's protection?

From the footage of the aftermath and the stories that I have heard everyone was very lucky. It could only have been God's Protection that saw everyone through safely. It amazes me sometimes that someone can offer such protection from an unbridaled force that is part of their creation.
