Some time ago, I signed up with a website to receive their deals specific to my area of the country. I laughed as I actually read the subject line of the e-mail they sent me today:
We saw these Washington, D.C. travel deals and thought of you
I feel SO loved! ;) I'm just so sure someone thought of me personally and individually as the computer sent out the bulk e-mail to the thousands of users in the DC area and multiple times as many more users across the country.
How touchy-feely and completely meaningless!
