Last week and Beyond

Last week, JM, Jer, and I enjoyed a wonderful time in Kansas with my family. Some other interesting tidbits from the week:
- Tuesday was my parents' wedding anniversary. Thirty-six years! Happy anniversary, Dad and Mom! Thank you for modeling a strong marriage for us and for giving us a loving home!
- Friday was my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday, D!
- Jer very much enjoyed playing with my sister L! He decided that they are twins and that he loves her.
- Jer had a hard time remembering the correct names for my sisters D and SR--he kept getting them mixed up. He said they look alike. :) I guess they are sisters!
- I went clothes shopping with my mom and sisters (D and SR). We each picked up some clothes on an 80% off sale.
- My watch (an 8th grade graduation gift from my parents) quit working Thursday, just before midnight. I was able to take it in to the jewelry shop where my parents bought it to get the battery replaced and get it going again! I also got my rings cleaned and inspected.

The flights home were largely uneventful. Jer did very well traveling. (Thanks, Reb, for doing so well at preparing him for the trip!) We had a 3.5+ hour layover in Dallas on the way back to Virginia. We were very happy that Cousin Stephen and Jen were able to meet us at the airport. We were able to enjoy lunch at Chik-Fil-A where Jer was able to play on their indoor playground. We also made a visit to Outdoor World (Bass Pro Shop) before heading back to the airport. It was the first time I had seen them since they started dating and gotten married. We delivered a triangle/dinner bell to them that JM's dad had made. They liked it!

Back at work on Monday, I received some disappointing news. Please pray for me and the library as we continue to go through more changes!!
