Just a quick note to show I'm still alive and still blogging, at least occasionally. I've got two other posts that are half-written. I keep hoping to get them finished and posted soon. One is on the generator that has been installed outside my office, the other is our weekend of clogging in Gatlinburg.
Prayer requests:
1) SR and her fiancee are wanting to move up their wedding date by about 6 months. That would put the date at the end of June and limit planning time to 11.5 weeks. That includes the end of this week; next week, which is her spring break; the three weeks of classes and final exams after spring break; the two weeks (15 days) she will be traveling in India; and 15 days after she gets back from India. Finding a date that is less than 3 months away that works for everyone is causing stress. Thinking about planning a wedding that quickly with that much else going on is causing stress. Pray for them and their relationship as they make this decision and as they live with their decision in the coming weeks and months.
2) D is leaving on Friday for a 10 day support trip. She is frantically working on confirming details of the trip and everyone she is visiting as well preparing to be out of the office for more than a week. Pray for her to be productive in her preparations in the next couple of days. Pray for safety as she is driving. And pray for the people she will meet, that she will be able to connect effectively with them and God will be able to use them as He desires.
3) SC is still waiting to hear back on a possible job. He's heard indirectly that the county is on a hiring freeze, but the direct response is that no hire has been made and he's still in consideration.
4) David is still working on his job search. He had a couple of interviews yesterday. I haven't heard how those went. He would still like to travel, but hasn't heard back from one job he'd like to have to facilitate that travel.
5) Beta seems to be healthy and well. Prayer that it will continue to be so. Prayer for us as we prepare for the arrival. (His room is still full of half-unpacked boxes and containers from the move.)
