Thoughts in the Middle of a Tuesday

While I was out running lunch errands today, I had two ideas for blog posts. Now I can't remember either of them. I knew I should've written them down at the time.

D and L are traveling Kansas this week visiting some of D's supporters. If you aren't familiar with Gospel for Asia, get their free book.

SR is home on Spring Break this week. Busy with wedding plans, I assume. She'd really like to move the wedding date up by about 6 months. This week may be a determining factor on the feasibility of that idea (though not necessarily in the decision of whether to follow-through with the date change).

David is starting a new job today with a start-up Internet gaming company. He had to get a "really early start" on the day--be at work (40-50 minute drive) by noon.

He and Margaret drove down from Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon. They came over to our place for dessert and game last night. JM and I introduced them to Pente. JM won the first two games and I won the last game. As usual with four players, the final winning move was the result of too many things happening on the board and one or two players missed seeing the pending win. I shamelessly took advantage of a distraction in that just as I made my next-to-last move, JM's mom called, so they were all talking to her as they made their "final" moves before I won.

The PHC Library is sponsoring a bunch of fun activities for students this week--"Spring Break" in the library. We had a game night Saturday night. Yesterday students had a chance to enter our Literary Costume Contest. Today, voting began on the costumes. Tomorrow is Red Envelope Day and an Easter Egg Hunt. There are also a couple of trivia challenges that will be issued sometime this week. My student workers have really been doing the bulk of the work and are doing an incredible job at it!
