- I don't post here (or anywhere) nearly regularly enough.
- Last week with 78 degrees on Thursday followed by Friday's wintery mix with ice and snow accumulation--I didn't like it. Days like that aren't supposed to be back-to-back.
- It's back up to 70+ this week!
- My 18-year-old brother is still talking about moving out to Virginia after he graduates in May (or whenever he finishes his class work). While I would enjoy having family in the area, I really can't see recommending this part of the country for someone who just has a high school diploma and no work experience outside of farming. How bad really are the "worst-case scenarios?"
- Pray for PHC on April 12 and the riders through-out the ride. The college has decided not to invite or welcome the group on-campus.
- We had a water event in the library on Tuesday evening. Came in through some conduit connecting the phone and Internet networks between the main building and the dorms. The carpet outside the tech closet was very wet and soaked the bottom of 4-6 boxes. Fortunately, most of the boxes had books that were packed away for a booksale, so not a big loss to the library. One box was periodicals that we wanted to keep. We only had to throw away 2 issues that we had wanted--the rest we were able to dry out. Thanks to our maintenance/facility personnel that helped us respond--bringing in fans to help in the drying out (carpet and periodicals) and spraying and cleaning up the areas of the closet that were mildewing from the moisture.
