I managed to call my sister SR today and wish her a Happy Birthday. I'm afraid I didn't get a card or gift sent to her, but it sounded like she'd gotten more packages for her birthday than I ever got for any birthday I've ever had!
Mom IM'd me the other day and reminded me that I hadn't called home very recently. I'll have to remedy that soon....just not sure exactly when.
I'd like to get a bluetooth headset for my phone. I like calling family while I'm driving, but I get tired pretty quickly of driving with one hand while I hold the phone with the other.
I did talk with D for a bit on Monday evening. It works great for her to give me a call on her weekly walk to a friend's house. It usually ends up being about the same time as I'm leaving work or just getting home.
I've got a staff training meeting tomorrow. Have to figure out tomorrow morning what needs to be covered in that training meeting.
I've got another meeting tomorrow evening for which I need to take something to eat. Unfortunately, I have only an hour between the two meetings. A trip home would leave me with maybe 20 minutes to prepare something. Preparing something at work means I have limited facilities. I'm thinking at this point that I'll take my crockpot to work, run to the store over lunch, and then put something on to cook in the afternoon to be ready for the meeting.
Several little things I've been procrastinating for the last couple of weeks will definitely need done tomorrow or at least over the weekend.
Saturday, I'm meeting with Beth in the morning to prepare chicken and vegetables for chicken soup to be served at Fall Festival. In the afternoon, we are planning to head to the pig roast--need to take another couple of dishes for that potluck.
Sunday afternoon, BRTC pictures are scheduled. They ended up getting scheduled later than I expected. I'll only make it for the first bit, since I'll have Awana later. JM might make it for the last bit, after he drops off Jer.
Today, they re-did the curb in front of our house. It was disappointing to come home to find that someone had written in the fresh concrete directly in front of our house--several words, including the name of a gang. JM went out to scrape it out before it solidified completely.
