Office cleaning

I spent several hours over the weekend going through piles and files--some of them have been around for 2-4 years--to get them properly labeled and put-away or discarded. It was encouraging to see all that I got accomplished--most of a book cart, 1.5 bookshelves, and a few other pieces, as work led me to them. It was discouraging to realize that I still have the top of my desk, the top of the credenza, and the top of the file cabinet that have barely been dented. And, oh yeah, most of my floor piles.

If you know where to look, there's very evident improvement, but the view as you enter the office hasn't changed. Hopefully, I can still make progress through the week and put some serious time into it again next weekend.

Praise to God that J wasn't injured when a large branch fell on his car as he was driving in the storm this weekend.
