Post Ireland

Since orientation on Wednesday afternoon, I've had problems staying focused on work. The start of classes on Monday seems so far away. My vacation seems so much more recent. Thursday was really a chance to just casually work on projects around the library. Friday, I had a short library staff meeting in the morning and then a longer faculty meeting in the afternoon. The meetings really broke up the day. I also got a good dose of reminder about how interrupted work is with students using the library.

But besides vacations, meetings, and students, my concentration was also broken on Friday by a purple vase filled with purple and lavender flowers--from JM. :) On Monday after returning from Ireland, he and my dad had an hour long talk. On Thursday night, we agreed to date. What I dislike the most so far is that this may be causing a crisis of faith for his ex, with whom he has a son. She is in my prayers particularly right now.
