Announcements

Friday, an e-mail went out at work that Monday's chapel was mandatory for all students and staff. Of course, that left the weekend for everyone to come up with a worst-case-scenario and for the tension to build. That was acknowledged immediately when the announcement began that there was nothing "bitter-sweet" to announce--it was "100% good news."

The announcement? That the president is going to focus his energies solely on fund-raising and relationship-building for the college (in the office of chancellor), as soon as a search has found another president for the college.

Secondarily, it was announced that the student center is on-track to break ground with-in weeks! The final county and city approvals have all come through. Assuming no major delays, the student center is scheduled to be complete by Fall 2007. At which point, work will be begun on renovating space in the main building for additional library space!
