Happenings @ PHC

http://www.filmstew.com/showArticle.aspx?ContentID=16180

The filming for the first movie has been going on around PHC/HSLDA for the past week or so. When they were scouting locations at the end of the semester, they came by the library thinking they'd be able to film in the library for some studying scenes or something. When we mentioned to them that the library would be rearranged in a few weeks, I think they didn't want to deael with the unknown, so they just crossed it off the list of locations and hopefully found a good study location for the movie elsewhere.

Personally, I think the library has even more potential now for filming than it had before.

FWIW, George Escobar, the lead on this film project, is the same man who took our wedding photos.

UPDATE: As I was posting this, the film crew showed up to do a scene in the library. They even took my suggestion to shoot with the reference materials in the background, rather than shooting long-wise down an aisle.

Wow!! Wish I was there. I read the article, but what is the movie about?

What I've been told about the plot is that it's about Moot court students who have to choose between defending, in a moot court tournament, a stance they believe is morally wrong or forfeiting the tournament. Not much! :)

So far I can't say that it's been particularly exciting. They were only in the library for 1-2 hours the other morning. They were asking to come film in the library after-hours yesterday, but then decided not to. I don't know much in the way of details.
