T-Mobile Cell & VOIP offering

http://www.wifinetnews.com/archives/007735.html

I've mentioned to a couple of people recently that I'd seen an article talking about a cell phone that worked with either regular cell networks or through wifi connections. I don't think this is the article I originally saw, but it has all the details.

T-Mobile is offering a choice of two cell phones ($50 with contract) that will switch between cell service and VOIP service. T-Mobile offers/recommends a couple of specific routers (free after $50 rebate) for the home that offer features that prioritize the voice data from the phone for better quality calls. There's an option to pay $20 for a single line ($30 family line; $10 or $20 promotional price through mid-September or so) so that all calls made through a wifi network do not count against the plans regular minutes.

Of course there are other articles/reviews out there that talk about all the problems, but I haven't taken the time to find those, since I'm not considering switching.
