Birthday

Thank you to everybody who remembered my birthday and helped make it a wonderful day--cards, wall posts, gifts!

A few highlights:
- A care package from my mom with home made cookies!
- Roses, rose note paper, and a day of pampering (including a Super Bowl Party) from JM!
- Calls (or at least thoughts of calls) from everyone in my family!
- Card from the library staff.
- Wonderful weather.
- Literally dozens of wall posts from family and friends on Facebook. :)

A couple of quick thoughts for prayer.
- I talked to my college roommate, Christina, for the first time in close to six months. I found out that she had a heart attack in August. Of course that is a life-altering experience, especially for someone still in her early 30's. Her cholesterol levels and such seem to be normal, so they trying to do further testing to try to determine if there are other problems that need addressed.
- Also, her 8 month old daughter broke her leg and currently has a cast. That is expected to heal normally.
- This morning on the radio, I heard it said that Virginia is the first state this season to declare a flu epidemic. I've been listening to coughing in the library for most of the afternoon. Praying I don't get sick as well as praying for the health of all the students.
- My sister D has been faced with some major decisions in the past month and is still seeking wisdom in how God would have her proceed to carry out what seems to be the direction He would have her go.
