ACL Conference - Part B

I had volunteered to be a mentor to a first-time conference attendee, so last night before supper, I met my mentee--Tami. She drove down with four other people from her school for the conference, plus her director has been very involved in ACL for a number of years, including as president. We had supper together, bet it didn't seem as if she needed very much from me.

Supper also included a bit of a program--welcome from CIU's Vice-provost, introduction of various groups of people involved in putting the conference together, and a brief description about the presentations from each of the presenters. Following supper, there was cheesecake and jazz reception.

To wrap up the evening, I joined more than 20 other people in watching The Incredibles.
