6 Random Things

Six Random Things About Myself
1. I worked for the Atlanta Olympic Broadcasting company during the 1996 Olympic Games in the Archives department. I was at work, just a couple of blocks from the Centennial Olympic Park, when the bomb went off. (I count it as God's protection that I wasn't feeling well, so wasn't AT the park when it went off.) The International Broadcast Centre where I worked was evacuated at least once during the games due to a bomb threat.
2. I worked for at least eight summers for my dad on the farm. Among my many experiences (including being showered with hydralic oil), I came away with one scar on my back from a bad day with the crustbuster (similar to this spring tooth harrow).
3. I tend to pick up athletic activities only long enough to learn the basics (if even that)--soccer, one summer when I was in early elementary; tennis, one summer; softball, one season with the church league; swimming, maybe actually 3 or 4 short summer classes; cheerleading, 2 seasons of girls basketball in jr. high; track, 3 seasons in jr. high; basketball, only pick-up games in the drive-way; volleyball I actually have played several seasons in the church league and will still play pick-up games when I have the chance (that still doesn't mean I'm any good).
4. I had a variety of denominational experiences growing up--I attended both AoG church camps and RP church camps and attended Presbyterian churches when visiting grandparents.
5. I'm about the 4th or 6th (depending on how you count) longest employed at PHC.
6. I expect to have a baby in early August.
