I left the building a couple of hours after dark last night and my first thought was, "Why am I wearing a coat??" It was 63 degrees with only a mild wind. Mid-January is not the time of year I expect to be shedding my coat.
A few hours later, a big storm moved in--lots of rain and wind. Reports of 1.5-2" in the area, flash flood warnings, and some neighboring counties have canceled school due to high water.
The storm is followed by a cold front. So, while it was still 50 degrees at 5AM, it is now 40 degrees with a wind chill 10 degrees cooler.

And guess what, it's only one degree here in the KC area this morning with an expectant high of 8. And it's all coming your way. :)
50 BAH!!! if it were 50 here i'd break out my shorts and a tank top. It hit the high of 6 today. its supposed to be back down to 1 when i go home from work again tonight. I wanna go someplace warm with sand and ocean and a fuzzy drink in a coconut.
Virginia has gotten it easy so far this winter. It's getting colder, but I haven't heard any expected highs under 20 yet, so I'll try not to complain. :)
