OK. I posted three times yesterday and didn't even get around to talking about what a great time I had on Saturday at the clogging workshop!
Clogging is always great fun! Saturday proved how much I enjoy it, even when I'm tired. I felt like I was tired and dragging all day on Saturday, but I still had fun picking up the easy dances and learning a few new steps. The challenge of the day was translating the national instructor's lingo into moves and steps I was familiar with. Where I'm familiar with BRTC's teachers saying something like "step and chug," the national instructor would have the class "shift your weight and kick." I'm sure his phrasing works better as he teaches in so many areas around the country (and probably even some internationally). But especially on the easier steps, I found myself relying primarily on his movements and tap-sounds to figure out the step, only catching enough of the instructions to confirm what I was already picking up.
Sunday proved how tired I really was--I slept right through my alarm and church, I only got up long enough to make it to Awana in the evening. I was really disappointed that I missed the Palm Sunday service, especially since I'm planning to work in the 2 & 3 year-olds class during worship next week. Now, thinking back on last week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday were all days that wiped me out physically. I guess it's logical that I needed the extra sleep.
