Grandfather update

My grandfather went through another round of surgeries this week. On Sunday, he realized that the new fistula in his right arm was clogged. After seeing his doctor Monday morning, they performed the 2-hour surgery to clear the block that afternoon. On Tuesday morning, the fistula was again clogged. On Wednesday afternoon, he underwent surgery again. This time to remove the tube from his right arm and place a new one in his right leg. The report Wednesday evening was that he is doing well, but they expect he will be in the hospital for 3-4 more days.

As reported from home: Grandpa is doing well physically, just frustrated with it all. Since Sept. 6th he has had about 6 surgeries and has been out of the hospital 17 days. But actually it all started back about the 18th of August, just after we got home from Ireland. Meanwhile they are still doing dialysis through the IJ tube (interjugluar).
