Small World Connections

I'm at the ACL Conference with about 200 people from across the nation. The conference officially started with supper at 6. So far, connections made include:

  • Met a woman I worked with and went to school with at ESU-SLIM (library school).

  • Through conversations and introductions, met at least four other ESU-SLIM graduates, including an alumna from the first Colorado cohort.

  • An ESU-SLIM alumnus introduced me to his co-worker who is the aunt of a PHC student. (The student happens to be the boyfriend of one of my student workers.)

  • In a conversation struck up on the way back to the dorm, I met the mother of one of my friends (or at least a good acquaintance) from Sterling College days.
