Yesterday morning, the clogging group perfomed at the Luckett's Fair. It was a hot morning to be performing. Mary took one songe out of the line-up because it was so hot. As usual, I had the most trouble with the first and last songs--"Dance" and "Stars & Stripes." Guess I just have to keep working on them and work on improving my concentration when performing those songs. Other than being hot, the performance overall went ok. At least the audience had some shade.
In the afternoon, the group held a car wash at Walmart to work on raising money for our trip to Ireland. I helped with the car wash for about 3.5 hours. I went home feeling a bit sick and dehydrated. After several glasses of water and juice and 10-12 hours of sleep last night, I'm feeling much better.
The group has, currently, seven more performances scheduled before the end of October. I'm pretty sure I won't make all of them, as I have to work some Saturdays and some of the performances are during the week.
