How can it be Thursday already?

I guess a few things have been accomplished.

I'm VERY happy that our database programmer was able to set-up a process for importing student data into the library database! We did several imports into the database early this week to confirm everything is set as needed. We now won't have to add/update 300+ records manually in the first few days of school and I expect the information will be noticably more accurate and consistent.

I have compiled the library facts I gathered from the ACL list about the size of library buildings. Still have to follow-up on that and get some more data that has been requested and figure out the best way to present the info.

I have made contact with the new faculty members and will be introducing the last two of them to the library tomorrow. I have also talked with 2-3 others in the faculty and have agreed to speaking in classes or creating search prompt sheets to help with various class projects.

I went for a haircut and perm last night.

I talked to the FBI this morning in regards to a background check for a former library student assistant.

Still lots to do in the next 8 days.
