Procrastination

I really don't NEED to practice my procrastination skills.

My vehicle registration was due to expire at the end of August. I thought I was going to get it taken care of early when I made a point of getting the safety and emissions inspections done on the 10th. But here I was at 9:30PM, August 31 calling the friendly automated telephone service to take care of the renewal. Don't have to worry about that for another two years! (Unless I change vehicles or move to another state.)

And as I watch the lights go out across the drive, I'm reminded that the rent is due tomorrow. Guess I'll have to do that first thing in the morning, if I don't want to be taking care of that at 9:30 tomorrow night (or later).

Interestingly (or maybe not so interesting), National Procrastination Week is the second week of March. But Fight Procrastination Day is nearly six months later--the first Wednesday of September (incidentally, tomorrow). Maybe the organizers of the second event figure they'll hit closer to the actual celebration of the first event by waiting.
