Rain and other random pieces

Rain! This week we have been getting rain! Since about Tuesday, we've been having light rain showers on and off through the day.

This is VERY good news for anyone trying to grow anything and for the towns that were running short of water in the area. Purcellville had gotten to the point that they were buying water from wells in the area, as the town's water supply was not sufficient. I haven't heard anything about how well the town's water supply has responded to the rain, but I'd think it has to be helping.

My parents took their trip to Branson this week, but decided to cut their trip a day short when Mom started not feeling well--aches and fever.

D and L are off camping. D left me a voicemail last evening and it sounded like they were doing pretty well--had a tent up and had managed to make themselves some hot food. As far as I know, L is still waiting until tomorrow to go home.

SC apparently came by early or mid-week to do some laundry. He left about three bags of clothes around that we assumed he would be back shortly to pick up or finish washing. Can't tell that he's been through since. Hope he's doing well and has something to wear. :-)

The weekend is filling up quickly.
A couple of meetings this evening.
Possibly a meeting Saturday at noon. A church gathering in the afternoon followed by a church potluck in the evening.
Church on Sunday with Awana in the evening. I have next month's newsletter that needs copied to be distributed at Awana, so probably go early on Sunday to work on that. Maybe also do some re-organization of the Spark closet.
