Weekend Thoughts

K-State will need to make some improvements in its playing and record if they have any hope of playing in a bowl game this season. Now 2-3, after Saturday's loss to Kansas (a team they've beaten the last 11 years), I'm not encouraged. Next: Oklahoma, currently ranked number 2. I hope its not a bloodbath.

I need to work on my exercise regimen. I've had sore muscles twice in a week. Last Monday and Tuesday, I had sore arms and shoulders after crab-walking around the Awana game circle (basketball gym). Yesterday and today, I've had sore thighs from picking up Nerf footballs for an hour.

It was good to talk to family at home on Sunday!

I watched the movie 8 Seconds in its entirety for the first time over the weekend. Seeing the whole movie and understanding the story made it much more enjoyable. The movie a great reminder to make the lasting things in life the most important and to not make proving ones self the most important thing. I believe the only other time I've seen part of 8 Seconds was early in my freshman year of college. I was out visiting Campbell with my roommates and discovered a room trying to get as many people into the room watching the movie as possible. By the end of the movie, I believe there were around 20 people in the dorm room designed for two.

C,

At least the KState Game looked like a game. I was expecting a routing from years gone by. The team looked better on both sides of the ball. Maybe we have a chance next weekend against Nebraska.
