Counts & Plans

Today is Thursday, May 11. Today is reading day at PHC--the day after the last day of classes, the day before the first day of final exams.

There is a clogging performance tomorrow (Friday) after work.

Saturday, there's another clogging performance that I expect to miss to go to King's Dominion with the church youth group (assuming there's actually a group going). Saturday is also L's birthday. I mailed her package on Monday.

Sunday is Mother's Day. Final exams end on Wednesday. By Thursday evening next week, most of the students will be gone.

Friday, May 19. I'm making a trip down to UVA to visit their ILL department. They have a different way of packaging books than most libraries and I want to know if it can be adopted for our library. Friday evening is a BBQ for the graduates.

Saturday, May 20. There's another clogging performance that I expect to miss due to PHC graduation. In the evening, there's a farewell party and the final contradance of the season that I'll have to choose between.

Sunday, May 21. The BRBC Awana Awards Ceremony will be held in the evening--in the new church building!

Monday, May 22. Last day before I leave for Greece. It'll depend on how the next 10 days go as to whether I'll spend that day at home preparing for the trip or at work wrapping up projects that need my attention here.

Tues, May 23 - Wed, May 31. GREECE! In the last week or so, I've ordered myself a digital camera, arranged for Euros and a travelers cheque card, and worked on a few other minor things for the trip. I still need to figure out how I can call home while I'm in Greece and I need to start packing at some point.

Mon, June 1. 6-month dental appointment.

Sat, June 3. BRTC Birthday party--9 years for the group!

Mon, June 5 - Fri, June 9. The week after I return from Greece the NCFCA national tournament will be hosted at PHC. Other than lengthening the library hours for the week, dramatically increasing the traffic through the library, and making every other department on campus completely pre-occupied, it shouldn't affect me much.

Sat, June 10. Clogging performance in Fairfax.

Sun, June 11 - Fri, June 16. ACL Conference in Indiana.

Mon, June 26 - Fri, June 30. WLCC Vacation Bible School. Sun, July 2. Vacation Bible School wrap-up in Sunday morning service.

Mon, July 3 & Tues, July 4. 2-3 more clogging performances in Lovettsville and other area celebrations.

If you don't hear much from me between now and the beginning of July, I think you can safely assume that I'm simply busy--not kidnapped by aliens or stranded on a deserted island.
