Autumn is approaching.
I was sitting outside recently when it got dark. I was surprised when I realized that despite the feel of a summer night after dark, it was only 8:30.
This weekend, I've noticed the shift in colors. The highway ditches are no longer green. Instead, sand-colored dead grass is moving up the far side of the ditches. Some of the trees have added the dull-rust color of drying leaves.
Tuesday, on my way to work, I saw a group of kids standing at the corner waiting for the school bus on the first day of school.
