Spring Break to-do list

It's Spring Break here in rainy northern VA.

Last Monday, there was a scare that the library server hard drive had crashed. This Monday, they are more sure that it has. If I had to pick a week during the semester for it to happen, this would be the week.

Last Thursday, it was decided that the hard drive on a library staff machine is going out too.

Other things I need/would like to get done this week during spring break (in no particular order):
- Upgrade Clio (library interlibrary loan--ILL--software that MUST be upgraded before May 1).
- Upgrade OCLC CatME (library cataloging software that MUST be upgraded before May 1).
- Catch-up on invoices and PO's that need to be paid.
- Catch-up on ILL issues.
- Re-post the open librarian position.
- Make sure I have responded to all of the applicants for the librarian position.
- Review the Information Literacy Competency Assessment (ILCA) and set it to allow students to take the assessment before the end of the semester through the web.
- Catch-up on sorting and responding to donations/donation offers.

And from trying to approve student worker timesheets - figure out how to get students to turn in timesheets on-time!

Last pay period, I had all of my student workers turn in their timesheets on time (for the first time in about 8 pay periods). With all of them in front of me, it was a breeze to see that everything was correct and easy to see who had traded a shift and when someone forgot they had traded shifts.

This pay period, I only had four of my eight students turn in their timesheets. And because of students leaving early for spring break, there were a number of shifts traded. But because half the students didn't turn in their timesheets, if I ever want to remember who traded (or claimed hours they don't normally work), I have to make notes to reference for when the other timesheets finally get submitted.
