It's Spring Break. It's Spring. I've been thinking this week about how readily people travel all over the world and how many connections I can make to various portions of the world.
Sam is currently serving as Chaplain to service men and women in Iraq. He lived here in VA prior to his deployment, has family in Wyoming, and his girlfriend is in Germany.
My sister Dorinda has spent the last 10 days in India. She lives and works in Texas and has made multiple trips in the last year to visit family and friends in Kansas, Illinois, and other central states.
Amy & Kevin, residents of California, vacationed in Hawaii last week.
Rose, current resident of Georgia with family and numerous friends still in Virginia, is currently touring Holland.
Even Dave, earlier this week, was talking about his past travels to Europe and his hope to go again.
In the months of March through August, I have plans to travel to Roanoke, VA (maybe twice), Tennessee, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Ireland.
And most of this isn't even thinking about the day-long and weekend-type trips that people make of 2-6 hours--touring Baltimore, Philadelphia; visiting family at the other end of the state or the next state. In early centuries, even this taken-for-granted type of travel was not taken so lightly.

Don't forget me! I was in Nebraska last weekend... but it was for business, not pleasure.
