Books by the Thousands

Early Thursday afternoon, the PHC Library received another donation of books. I'll call it significant, since it was 42 boxes--probably around 1,000 books. That'll take time to sort, process, and catalog.

About an hour after we finished unloading that donation, another donor called to arrange to drop-off a donation on Monday. They are all books from one particular commentary series. He thinks he has 25-30 books, but they're packed into 5 boxes that he hasn't opened recently. Unless they are small boxes, I'm guessing there's a few more books than that.

Later in the afternoon, I was contacted by a used book dealer I'd worked with in the past. In the spring, I'd bought a few thousand history books from him and mentioned that we would be interested in a similar literature collection. He was calling to offer me a collection of 3,000 literature books. I'm hoping that I can go ahead and get those books, though I'm not sure where we can put them!
