Smally Accomplished

I am currently feeling a small piece of accomplishment. Over a week ago, for the desk trade, I pulled all of my files out of my desk and dropped them in a couple of boxes. I know have actually looked at all of those files. Relevant ones have been put back into my desk or in other files in my office. Outdated papers have been tossed. And (unfortunately) a collection of doesn't-quite-fit-neatly-anywhere papers are scattered over my desk.

I'm also ignoring the fact that I still have a box and a half of papers yet to sort through that were sitting on top of my desk and credenza at the time of the move. I also have an immovable deadline for a cart of books that need to be cataloged by next Monday. And there are a list of e-mails that haven't quite yet been properly responded to.

I'm thinking a quick celebration with a package of M&M's and tackle another pile of to-do's.
