Accreditation

Accreditation for a college is important. It is valuable. It is a lot of reports.

About 2:00 Friday, I received an accreditation document that required some information from the library. With it came the request to have the report with the information done by noon on Monday.

So, I have spent a few hours this weekend reviewing what I said in the past (so I don't out-and-out contradict myself without an explanation) and writing up a response with the information requested....or at least what I hope is the information they are wanting. How does the library ensure access to resources for distance learning students? Well, I thought I told them that before, but let me try to explain it again in a little bit different way.

It actually does me good to review these planning documents we've developed and the goals we put into some of the reports. Reminds me how far the library has come and what we have achieved. Reminds me of ideas that I never quite followed through on. Reminds me of other documents that need to be updated.
