This week's NYTimes technology section has some articles that are of a bit more immediate interest.
Whose DVD? A Debate Over Copies. Dave Wilson (NYTimes, 8 July 2004)
Not anything new. Reiterates the basic arguments around the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 1998 that outlaws all efforts to circumvent the copy-prevention measures that might be used on CD's, DVD's and other electronic files.
Search Results Are In, All On the Same Page. Seth Schiesel (NYTimes, 8 July 2004)
I think I'll have to try out this service that allows information from various websites to be placed on one page--a web page that can be bookmarked and shared through e-mail. The article suggests using it for comparison shopping with others--something that I occasionally do with my sisters half-way across the country.
