I took time to have fun this weekend.
Friday evening, I went to the Jones' All Saints' Day party. It was both delicious and fun!
Saturday, SS and I attended the FSU v. UM game, rooting for FSU. We had tickets on the 45-yard line (at the very top of the stadium). As FSU lost, it was a disappointing ending. As I had never before attended a major college football game, it was an interesting experience. Not one to repeat every weekend, but definitely something I'd consider doing again. A big thanks to SS for driving, sharing the experience, and making the run to the concession stand!
Sunday was a beautifully warm day. I walked to church and home again. This past week or so has brought a dramatic increase in the spread of fall colors. The tree outside my house went from green with tinges of yellow, to yellow, orange, and gold, with green, if you hunt. Sunday afternoon, the wind picked up and covered the walks and roads with the brightly-colored leaves, lending a thoroughly autumn appearance to Halloween festivities.
Now I have to deal with all of the ILL requests and books with almost no student help today and tomorrow.
