Monday after Surgery

All of my sisters spent the weekend between the hospital and home with Dad. Reports come in saying that Mom is still improving following the surgery, though still very easily tired. Her voice is still weak, its an effort for her to move around, and she is still in pain.

Last night and this morning, she saw a doctor for the first time since about Friday. Her doctor this morning decided that from her daily, morning x-rays, there is still more fluid in her left lung than he would like to see. They are doing another bronchoscope this morning (3rd in the last week) in order to try to remove some of the fluid that way.

D changed her Thanksgiving plans and will be back with the family for Thanksgiving, rather than going home with another friend. SR will still be home for Thanksgiving, but is only bringing one friend home, rather than two. L went back to Sterling with SR last night and will spend today and tomorrow doing school work there and come back home at Thanksgiving with SR.

With both SR and D home for the weekend, Mom expressed concern about making sure beds had clean sheets and where they could be found. D assured her that they would be able to find clean sheets.
