Seeker-Sensitive Church

As our church is going through a re-evaluation of our mission and vision, I particularly found this article interesting. Willow Creek Community Church--a leader in the seeker-sensitive movement--went through a multi-year assessment of their programs and philosophy. They have now published a book based on the assessment, Reveal: Where Are You?, co-authored by two of the church's leaders, including the executive pastor. The report indicates that while their programs were good at generating numbers of attenders, they were not good at developing mature Christians, forcing the church to re-visit their basic seeker-sensitive philosophy.
