Monday and Tuesday this week are break for PHC students. It's the break that was originally known as "Election Break" but I think is now adopting the name "Fall Break."
With no classes, we reduced library hours to business hours--8:30AM-5:30PM. Then we had two projects that we wanted to get done that would be best done without interruptions, we closed the library for Monday morning in order to move books and let maintenance do some painting.
The end result? The books were all moved in about 40 minutes and the painting didn't get done until after we openend the library anyway.
Tomorrow, I need to:
- get the information literacy assessment up and available for the semester,
- write the invitation to and introduction for the library satisfaction survey (including deciding about a compensation or motivation for doing the survey), and
- update the status of the books that were moved.
